Couldn't hurt to lock them, I guess it depends on how secure your shed is and how much you trust your neighborhood. If some bastard thief wants it bad enough I'm sure they'd still find a way to take it.

I still post on FB. I only have about 100 "friends'. 90% is about the number of those that I know personally. The rest are friends of those same people.

Exactly. When I first moved to where I am now I was super concerned about my stuff getting stolen. After being here a few years it isn't something I worry about much. I leave my kayaks on the screened porch in front of the house. I usually keep the bike in the garage, mainly to keep it clean more than to keep it secure. I have neighbors that keep bicycles, dirt bikes, ATVs, motorcycles, commercial lawn care equipment, etc in their carports. Of course after the last hurricane blew through, when strangers started wandering around the area, it wasn't uncommon to see folks openly carrying rifles and sidearms. Then again it is kind of a whiskey tango neighborhood...

this is a tough one because it totally depends on the hood you live in...

on long island for example you must have thousands of stolen bikes picked right out the shed locked shackled the worx...

but in certain areas that for sure have top notch toys siting in a shed with no locks what so ever for decades

When I was still living at my parents I had a carport that I kept my old truck in. I also had my 400EX in there and my buddy's Predator - I'd put them back to back and run a chain around the axles and up through the grab bars. I guess it was more of a brief deterrent cause someone could have just cut the chain and be gone with them. But my parents are out in the NJ pine barrens and they're always home hawking their property so I decided to take the risk.

I wouldn't do that now, not that I live in bad area but it's just more densely populated and a little too close to Philly lol

I accidentally left the windows of my truck open over night.. came out the next day and wondered if they were broken. But nothing stolen, and I rolled them up, and back to normal.

Gotcha, in the end it's all about peace of mind - getting to that state is my best advice. For me that would be a good quality lock on the door at minimum. Maybe throw some insurance on YZ.

That's good! I'm always surprised at how many vehicle thefts I read about that the owner left the keys inside.

It's been not great riding weather by the beach. Super windy all day. Temperature is great, but the wind... man the wind is a bitch. Last week was rainy all damned week. Today is finally nice out.

@GHOST SHIP and I live in like complete opposite conditions lol. He's in the mountains, I'm coastal.

It was so nice today up here, but I'm stuck at the office all day. Might head out for a ride tomorrow finally.

I would trade your project bike for that Bonneville in a heart beat. Throw on a set of beefy treaded tires, delete the rear fender, and add a scrambler style exhaust and you'll have an awesome air cooled Triumph.

Everyone enjoys sparking up a conversation with a Triump rider.

I won't change it until she is done and I turn it in to what I want. Want her to be ad comfortable as she can be on it.

I should have done that but I couldn’t stand the stock seat. So I got a tall seat and thankfully she can still touch the ground just fine.
