What a Power Commander does is adjust the bike's fuel/air ratio to run at an optimum level, and thus improving the motorcycle's overall performance and power delivery characteristics. This is especially important if you've make some upgrades to your bike, like installing an aftermarket exhaust or a air filter.
Your stock exhaust is built to work with your bike. If you change one component , you must change them all to have everything working smoothly.

So much this. I can guarantee nobody on this forum can ride a 600cc bike to its full potential on a track. Straight line weaving between traffic is dangerous for the rider and whoever gets in their way.

I know PC'c adjust fueling, I thought they also advanced or retarded timing too?? What was damaged after the new exhaust? It was my understanding most aftermarket exhausts inclrease flow be re moving cats and baffles. Just trying to understand.

Too true. I can't even ride my CB500F at full potential, let alone something with 3-4 times the power.

changing the exhaust changes the designed air flow for the air box and intake, thereby changing the mixture received by the engine. The bike will probably run worse than with the new pipe until you snag a PC, and proper air intake.

the incorrect airflow over time can eventually cause issues.

Am I saying my bike went to shit because of just that .. no..but towards the end... it definitely had my bike sputtering, and shutting off randomly when I would rev high.

Yamaha told me to go back to my stock piping and so did my mechanic. But by then I was over it.

Yea definitely. I believe that the bike runs lean with just exhaust. And i knew that it could kill one - fuel starvation. But didn't know anyone that it happened to

Listen I'm not here to compare dick size.
I was just stating what I prefer riding. As far as what your issues are with me I can give two fucks.

Crazy. I would have thought modern bikes were "smart" enough to figure it out.

This is part of why i dont do these types of changes. Stock works for me, I'm cheap and that $500 (exhaust and PC) buys a lot of gas.

Not all just assumptions. Some straight out questions, left unanswered, and countered with videos showing unsafe and illegal riding.

They can if they have an o2 sensor but they are still limited to the ecu parameters.

I put a neutech nitro mousse in my rear tire thursday night. What a pain.
