Yes. Stage 1 = tuner exhaust intake.
LA Harley has no problem with my TBR. They just quoted me an additional 800-1000$ after my already 900$ exhaust. They never said I had to do the stage 1 either. Nor anything negative.

I just find it funny that LaidLaw was saying all this shit about TBR. And when I called TBR..they said the exact opposite.

I guess everyone wants $ and everyone has an opinion about something.

If your primary residence is in CA you HAVE to have your vehicle registered in CA. plain n simple.... all the people that plate their wacky bikes (namely to make dirtbikes dual sports) with SD plates are NOT legal. This is why I did the lengthy process of getting my WR450 to have a highway registered pink slip and CA licence plate.

I’m not saying they’re going to pull you over just because you have out of state plates, but my guess is you’d be more likely to be pulled over doing the same thing as someone with a CA plated bike. FWIW though, I’ve only ever seen a motorcycle pulled over with a cop behind them once in all my time living here. And I don’t know if the motorcyclist was pulled over by the cop or the cop had stopped to just alert traffic and bring attention to move over.

My opinion: any modern bike with an 02 sensor will self adjust to a slip on exhaust. If it’s full intake and exhaust there’d be benefits to a tune to make it better, but it’ll still adapt just fine on its own.

Now put an exhaust on a carb’d bike and shit hits the fan unless you rejet haha gotta love carbs

Did 80something miles today and found myself a nice dirt road out in the fields:

And then noped real quick saying not today satan when it turned to a mud pit. Wasn’t in the mood to slip and slide around and turned around. I haaaaate mud, especially on these tires.

Edit: Here’s the 3d view of the ride from Rever. I love this area, fields and rolling hills in every direction.

Start going East. Then on Sunday at mid day, turn around and head home. You will get there! Just like Forrest Gump

Maybe because it's more of a military town, but I have never been pulled over in CA with TX plates on all my vehicles.
