I just don’t want a heavy street bike. I am leaning more towards the wr450f. Depends on how much highway riding I will be doing though. Shouldn’t be much but with a 60mile round trip commute 600mile oil changes add up fast.

Are you set on KTM? The 790 isn't that heavy, but there are lots of great bikes that aren't heavy. Mine weighs under 400 torque for days.

Not set on KTM. Just want something lightweight to rip around on.
    Yamaha wr450f dry 249lbs
    KTM Duke 790 dry 372lbs
    KTM 690 SMC dry 306lbs.

The best predictor of rain is washing one of my vehicles... I detailed my bike last week and got caught in the rain 15 minutes after taking it out

My knees start to get stiff and hurt after about two hours/100 miles or so. I'm thinking a set of lowered pegs might help by lessening the bend angle of the knee. About 100 miles is usually the most I'll go for without a break unless I'm just pounding down the freeway at 80 but that is very rare.

If you like comfortable torquey bikes, look at an MT 07 or MT 09. Super comfortable, great pricing, and tons of accessories. I throw mine into corners and it's a blast to ride, prob the most fun bike I've had and I've ridden mostly super sports and some nakeds. I bet if you test rode one, you'd pull the trigger.

I almost bought one. Would be perfect for commuting on but it’s a heavy slow pig.

I have read nothing but good things about them. But after riding the grom I have fallen in love with a super nimble bike and that’s why I want a supermoto next.

Exactly, being a hooligan on one. I also don’t want another bike that tops out at 140mph-200mph.
