    Just had a very close call.
    Dude in a Chevy Cruise pulled away from a stop sign and I (who had the right of way) had to perform an emergency stop to avoid broadsiding him.

    He obviously didn’t look before pulling out, but I know he saw me after pulling out because I could hear the sewing machine under the hood screaming up to redline.

    I avoided the accident but it’s because of my parking lot training and muscle memory for progressive braking.
    I would have locked the front wheel and dumped the bike, otherwise.

    Luckily I was on the Ninja and I know those brakes very well.

    Get out and scoot and practice and scoot!

    Scary stuff. This is a huge reason why I wanted some sort of video recording device.
    If anything does happen... and you’re not at fault.. it goes a long way in court

    edit::: glad you’re okay

    Thanks, and yes, I really need to get a camera system. The good ones are expensive but the footage could be invaluable in protecting yourself after an incident, as you said.

    Buy a dash cam instead. Gopros are annoying with making sure its charged, turning it on, clearing the sd

    Turning on and charging is annoying, yeah, but they have a rolling recording mode where it'll only keep the latest 15 minutes (or whatever you set it to) and overwrite it until you stop the recording. It's an easy way to do it if you have multiple bikes or don't want to hardwire something in
