I'm torn between the 690 enduro & the 500exc. For some reason the 690 was a little cheaper compared to the 500.

500s are awesome bikes if you want something to ride and more supermoto-y . they can full on do hard long ride days (ive been on riding trips in arkansas where we would ride 300 miles for the weekend). excellent bike for around town/fun rides.

i went 690 since i wanted to be able to do bike trips. i live in kc so minimum fun drive is 5 hours to arkansas or 12 hours to reach colorado. just more appropriate for that type of trip riding. the 690 is a ton of fun around town but it comes with the price of being 70lbs heavier

Thanks for the info. I want a enduro to keep at my cabin in the mountains ofWV for exploring & trips into town. I bought this SxS new last year which is great up there considering it seats 5 and had a hydraulic dumpbed. Great for work & play but a enduro would be fun too. I'm looking into them, not ready to buy just yet.

My first street bike was an early 90s honda shadow 600. My favorite is my current one, a 2012 KLR650. One day I'll quit being a cheap ass and buy a CRF1000L......

Last was a 2009 Kawaskai Concourse that met it's demise in a head on collision I obviously survived.
Favorite was probably my 2006 Yamaha FZ1. I shoulda never sold it.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
First: An old yellow Yamaha 50cc dirt bike when I was 5 years old.
Last: 2003 HD Softail Standard 100 year anniversary edition.
Currently bikeless, but hoping to change that this spring! I'd like to have both a sport enduro for exploring back country roads and another HD. Perhaps another off road bike as well, but not sure, really digging ATV's right now for that in my older age!

Favorite and last was BMW. Got hit on freeway by @sshole that cross double solid exiting HOV. Flew 4 lanes over and landed in slow lane. Lucky to survive.

Never owned one, but used to ride my buddies when he wanted my s1krr. Such a beautiful and fun bike to ride. super seamless transitions, even 2up, it just flowed right over. (which hopping off the BMW was a big change - it flicked itself around and could catch you slackin)
Thanks for the flashback, truly beautiful bike. :headbang:
