The block should have TRD Pro stamped on it.

Electric lime looks too bold to be a carry over for the 3rd gen, maybe 4th gen will be here next year? but why make changes to the Pro if 22 would be the last year for the 3rd gen Pro?

Unless Toyota releases the 4th gen, and continues selling the 3rd gen Pro for the same model year.

Nice summary. I think the stamp is a more refined replacement for the door badge. Trail edition is looking like a great buy--happy I got my OR for well under 40k before COVID hit.

I’ve seen the pro stamp on the side on tundras and i think it looks clean. Way better than stickers that’s for sure. It also lets you know its a pro vs someone putting stickers on

Agree. The reviewers have these things for a few days. Objectively Tacoma doesn't stack up well to competition at all when simply driving it back to back with them for a few days. They usually don't talk resale and reliability in these tests and that's why most people buy them. Also exterior looks too. I'd say that's tops in the class too, but looks are subjective.

I’m betting the 4th gen is the 25’ when the hybrid comes out.

I'd have liked the stamped besides but the 'D' looks like and 'O' and that would bother the heck out of me ha

toyota typically redesigns Tacomas on a 10 year cycle. 1st gen was ‘95-‘04 and 2nd gen was ‘05-‘15 so I’d be shocked if we saw a 4th gen before 2025.

If l am not mistaken the 4th gen is scheduled for model year 2024, but with all this virus shit delays could be possible.

have you seen an official 2024 announcement from toyota anywhere though? All I’ve seen in speculation and hearsay. I wouldn’t count on anything till toyota says it.

Yesterday Cnet also reported the ‘22 Pro begins production in November. No other trim level was mentioned. Im wondering the same thing.

One thing i really like about the pro, is its stance. I know its only 1.5 inches in the front and .5 in the rear, but the stance and tire to wheel well gap looks way nicer than my OR. Reminds me of my 99 regular cab. Nice and level. Im not big on modifications but this stance is the way the OR and pro should come from the factory. Why not have a little lift on the offroad over the sr5 and Sr? After all its geared towards "off road" use right?

I wonder if there are any issues with the safety sense with the offroad grill and 1.5 inches of lift on the front. I may have to do a pro style lift on my OR.
