Im looking at buying and installing an aftermarket birds eye 360 cameras, primarily for situations where I have to drive in reverse on a one lane mountain trail in get back to a spot someone can pass and parallel parking.

Where is the factory 360 camera control module mounted on the third gens?
Im thinking of putting it under or behind the radio but am not sure whether there is sufficient airflow there

The Panoramic View Monitor System (Multi-Terrain Monitor) has all camera feed into the Parking assist ECU which is located behind the lower center dash panel.

Thank you, I'm assuming I don't have the parking ecu as I lack the distance sensors on the front and rear bumper. That space should be pretty open for me to house the aftermarket panoramic module that I insert into the backup cam feed in that case.

I assume there is not really a way to retrofit the OEM system into my vehicle without a lot of parts, harnesses and someone skilled with a tech stream to reprogram the vehicle options? Bumpers, sensors, module, harnesses, cameras, etc.

Thanks, that gives me an idea of where to look to house the aftermarket module. Now I just need to order the kit and find somewhere dry I can use for the 6 hours or so it takes to route the cables, fit cameras and run calibration.
