Mountain Bike Short Bed Setups

    Since I already had one Thule roof rack bike mount and the Thule basket from my Corolla Hatchback, decided on a tonneau cover with bed rail slots. Really happy with how it looks and being tall(er) I don't have issues loading the bikes. Now using all of the bed for long trips, the rack is a PIA to maneuver around. Fortunately the Yakima cross bars clip into place and it's not rocket science to remove. Every setup has its pros and cons, I did add the diode dynamics hitchpod with the brake light functionality since the bikes block the view of our third brake light.

    I can fit my large transition patrol and spur under my alucab contour canopy with the front wheel off. i'll need to dial in some fitment once i build my drawer on the passenger side. the back wheel needs to be angled and on the wheel well depending on wheel base. good proof of concept though.
