All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

I used to ride all the time at Blanket's Creek: https://www.sorbawoodstock.org/trails - There's a ton of variety with some good technical trails.

For easier trails, I used to ride down by the Chattahoochee. https://sorbaatlanta.org/sope-creek/ - Park at the end of Columns Drive and stay right on the gravel trails. You'll see little paths leading up to the right to ride. I learned to mountain bike here, lots to explore.

If you get involved with SORBA, you'll meet tons of people to ride with.

We ended up doing Allatoona Park and doing the Mumbo Jumbo trail. Definitely going to look into those other groups and trails

Late to the thread about riding in the ATL. All good advice above about Blankets Creek and Allatoona. There is also Big Creek around Roswell if you're more on that side of town or Clinton Nature Preserve if you're looking for a place to ride when everything else is closed because it's wet.
