Great idea for a thread, I've been off my bike for too long but would love to get out there again

I'm still incredibly out of shape and haven't ridden in a couple weeks but I'm down for some group adventures

I'm game. I'm in the North Valley. Typically ride Apache Wash and Sonoran areas. Also a few rides in Prescott and Flag. I currently ride a hardtail, but am looking at adding a full sus to the garage. I really like the hardtail though. Just another tool in the MTB toolbox, right?

(Nice 429 Trail, by the way.)

I'll have to take a cool picture of my bike... I'm getting back in shape and want to start hitting some trails soon! I haven't mountain biked in a couple years. I'm working on getting my girlfriend into it. Were both riding Specialized hardtails with 27.5+ tires. They are a blast!

Likewise, I bought my lady a Giant Talon for my her birthday this year. She's been riding a lot around town.

Can I join this thread? I just started mountain biking for the first time ever over 4th of July weekend and I loved it. I haven't yet biked in AZ, only in AK, but I'm hoping to do so when I get back. I've been using Strava too! Will also be looking for a bike in 2018 probably. (renting up here and using a bike a coworker lent me)

I ride South Mountain regularly if anyone is ever interested in riding there, mostly National, Mormon, Geronimo, Ranger (all the rowdy trails). But I'm always up for some mellow riding too!

Do you shuttle up to the top and ride down or do loops?

I'm in! Haven't had anyone to ride with lately. All my buddies moved to better places! I'm off Wed, Thurs, and Sundays. Let's shred!

Does anybody have any suggestions for easier (but hopefully not too boring) trails that I can take my girlfriend out on? Were looking to escape the heat and get her off pavement for the first time.

Just saw this, sorry! I need to do more riding before I hit any real trails. I'm gonna be slow.

She got some riding knowledge and comfort, just not trails yet?

Sonoran North Preserve (Apache Wash Trailhead) and Browns Ranch come to mind as some of the easier options in the valley. Typically smoother and wider trail tread compared to most other options.

Prescott near Lynx Lake (Trail 305?) would be one of the good options up there. It's been a while, but I don't remember many tough spots. Just some elevation and climbs.
