So I took the mountain bike out today and went on some local trails. Ended up busting up the computer I had on it by a tree limb popping it off and it hitting rocks. anyway anyone else go out and ride sometimes?

heres some pics of the bike.

And the computer, doesnt look busted up,but wont turn on.

I ride every now and then. Usually out in orange county area or Laguna poaching rides. lol
Every now and then I'll do an XC ride for training. But DH is more fun!

I just bought myself a decent Specialized hard tail and I am going to start getting into some riding. My knees can't take as much running as they used to and I need more cardio. Lots of cool trails around here, I think I am going to like it!

I used to ride a shit load till I hit a tree around 25 mph last year with my back. Ended up shifting my spine slightly and have a herniated disc that gives me issues every so often. Gotta watch out for those damn trees. they jump out at you.

OP 2000prerunner, you are close enough to Ft. Hood you should look into making a trip down there for some awesome trails. I did a loop that included everything single track, uphill, serious downhill, jumps etc...... right outside of Ft Hood in Killeen. I also went down to Austin which is just an hour south and did a cpl of 10 mile loops that were pretty nice.......

Yeah it was rough... but lots of fun. I actually found a couple of trails that mere hand built with nice jumps and everything. If you go out to Copperas Cove and come into Ft. Hood the back way you willl find some nice tank trails that you can ride with nice creek crossings...... man they were fun especially since you can get lots of speed.......... fuuuuun!!!!
