Probably not going to make this one  Just cant justify the drive and the cost of gas. Plus I just got my first ticket so I dont have much money. I have a baseball tournament that starts on the 4th so it would just be really tough. I should be able to make Windrock, its a good bit closer and I've been there before so my dad should be up for it. Sorry for bailing again.

Well if I can pull out by 8am should be in Asheboro around 10am. That should not be to much of a problem, just have to pack everything but the cooler the night before. I will try to leave a little earlier than that, but not promising anything.

I'll be working graves all weekend, lucky me... Call me sometime during the day, I might ride over and ride along with someone.

Lurry, there is always the campsite below Grandfather.

We're aiming for the Furnace Creek Road campground and going to a backup plan if that is full, correct?

Of course they did. My spare CV came in. I have to say, for a auto-parts store part, it's surprisingly heavy. If they got the heat treatment right in whatever sweat shop in China pumps these things out, it might hold up ok.

Headlight cracked, dried (paper towel for a little pocket of fluid I found, then hairdryer), re-sealed with windo-weld, re-assembled, and back in the truck. About 90 minutes start to finish taking my time. The bead of windo is THICK, so it is definitely not going to leak. If moisture still gets in, I'll need to look the assembly over real close for structural damage, because that's all it could be.

Anyway, here's hoping no more fog. And I am ready to get this shit *on* in mtn city. Then I am ready to get my new job *on* and get some gear money. Then I am ready to head up to Lexington late July/Early August and get an ATO front bumper *on* this truck.

But first, I have to get *off* work Friday....c'mon weekend!

I just hope like fuck if it does go it doesn't snap the splines off in the diff. From what I understand, that means you're pulling and cracking the front diff to repair, which would be PITA city on the trail or in camp.

I'm still trying to gank some OEM CVs from somewhere, because these Toyota axles have impressed me with some of the shit I've seen them hold up to.
