Update customer service contacted me and I spoke with one of mountain hatch employees. They advised to start with the top left and right screw corners and everything would eventually line up. It did w. This method. I don’t know why they don’t include a basic instruction guide. They also said the holes are specifically drilled a certain way (that looks like they don’t line up) to prevent any rattling during off roading. Also the tailgate being sticky doesn’t have to do with the locking mechanism (I double checked and lubricated) it has to do with the new weight of the insert. I push the tailgate in slightly w one hand and release the handle with the other and it’s not as sticky.
