Who has one? Looking to purchase one and wanting to get some feedback on it. I think it’d get some serious use, i fish and hunt and it doubling as a cutting board interests me. Any feedback? Other options? Thanks guys!

I just installed mine today, so not much feedback to share, but i know they’re offering 20% off right now. It got me over the hump to finally purchase one.

I like mine. Do i think it's worth the price? Debatable. Does it seem worth it when I'm crawling in and out of the bed and my knees aren't being torn to hell? ABSOLUTELY. I have mixed feelings on it for actual cutting board use though. Seems a pretty dirty surface to trust with food. Unless you have stuff on hand to clean it of course. Also a nice flat surface for tinkering, not spilling your beer (stupid stock ribs), etc...

I recently installed mine. A few months ago they had a sale on the blue hatch. It does not match my trucks color scheme in any way, but that doesn’t bother me too much. It was a good deal and the flat surface is very nice. I think that food grade material drives up the price tho.

Recently noticed that mobtown also makes a flat reinforcement tailgate panel for less money made out of metal instead of plastic.

I have one. Just recently got it. So far, I like it. The price is definitely something that’s up for debate. With the discount, I didn’t think it was that bad. I get the $25 shipping, but someone has to eat that. So essentially, you pay for it with a discount or pay more when the sale expires lol.

if you’re going to use it like you mentioned, I’d opt in and say buy it before the sale ends. They’re a good company with excellent customer service. I hit them up about everything and anything truck related and they respond back with no issues. Customer service is pretty important to me too.

I’m just ranting bec I’m bored at work lol

I like mine and would recommend it.

Same, had it in the cart and everything. Looks solid, maybe jump on it a little later down the road with the teacher discount.

Anyone have problems with the length of the top screws? I could barely get them to bite. Tailgate sat open in the sun and the panel bowed up and popped out the OEM white plastic nuts. There doesn't seem to be enough of the screw in the nut to flare out the prongs to stay in. I may need longer screws.

Had the same problem with mine, and ended up buying some longer Philips screws at Ace to go along that bedside long edge. Problem solved.

I agree with you. The length of the bottom OEM screws (.50”) and their shape, not having enough width to expand the insert. (lag screw and pointed)
Causing the plastic inserts to pull away from the tailgate.
The sides / top of the tailgate screws held fine.
My remedy was replacing the six factory screws with six button head 1/4” -20 x 1” screws & new flat washers.
Getting the new screws started was a bit of a pain. It’s now 100% secured.
I used a black sharpie to paint the screws / washers.
The Mt.Hatch insert isn’t inexpensive. Yes, there are alternatives in the wild. I like it. and would recommend it. YMMV.

Mark it up, then mark it down and call it a sale.

Mobtown can be ordered with or without ribs. Want smooth metal - you can have it (just not as stiff as the one with ribs)

I have one and really like it. My main motivator was kneeling on it getting stuff in and out of my canopy. A lot nicer being flat, and the benefit of having a flat surface for meal prep, lanterns, fuel bottles, beers, etc is immeasurable.

Whatever. Go ahead criticize people for settling on a solution that works for them, and carry your knee pads around with you all you'd like. I promise I won't call you "ridiculous."
