He's gonna be really upset when he sees NATO beat him to it. Also effective* against RPGs.

I've got one, don't really give a flying fart who thinks it's not worth the cost. My wife wanted it because she does all the meal prep and cooking while we camp and it makes her job easier.

That's relative. Some people bill that in 30 minutes.

It's a lot of money any way you look at it, even if you can easily afford it. If some people bill that in 30 minutes then theyre billing a lot of money in 30 minutes.

$200 was budget dinner for two at one of my last corporate jobs. Prob why they were always in the red, but I agree with your statement. $200 is not a lot of money for a durable good.

It's expensive. No way to justify the price, but it is a great product. It looks better than the factory part and its nice knowing you can use it as a cutting surface.

It has worked well for me. No problem with OEM screws, installs in minutes, what's not to like?

I bought and installed mine as prep for an overlanding trip planned for early April, then the pandemic happened. I said screw the money, I went all out and bought the most expensive one. I also have a red theme going on inside the cab so it worked perfectly for me. And those damn ridges hurt my old knees! lol20200320_175007.jpg

Thanks! I emailed them but got not reply. I go up that way often and would prefer to pick one up rather than pay the shipping cost. Hopefully they will respond.

Here is the truth: very few, if any, people who buy one of these regret it. You won’t see many threads with guys removing them or looking to upgrade.

When you install the Mountain Hatch, you have achieved ‘tailgate optimization’, and life is just that little bit sweeter.

Some guys can’t afford to have their tailgate optimized. It’s kinda a shame, but life ain’t fair.

“Tailgate optimization” is my new favorite thing.
In all seriousness, looks like a nice product. Is it a little overpriced? Sure. But so is all the other stuff. I’ve been considering a Mountain Hatch, want a flat spot for my ass and my camp stove.

I had a Mobtown steel one and switched to this. The steel one was too heavy for the stock damper so my tailgate slammed down. It was also heavy to close, especially from inside the camper. So far I like this panel better combined with Mobtown's heavy duty hardware kit.
