Just don't wheel it without new bump stops

no flipping the U bolts doesn't change your travel numbers like a shackle flip would. So no you don't need new shocks if you flip the U bolts. All that does is give a bit of clearance under the Ubolts.

if you did a shackle flip you would need longer shocks and bigger bumps because you would gain so much droop.

I meant if you do a u bolt flip make sure you find a way to install bump stops before you wheel it

So I talked to the guy who is doing my locker and the u bolt flip. He is going to tack the oem bumps onto the new brackets. I haven't looked at the stock bumps well enough to know how that will work.

Cool stuff happening this week! Here is what I got done so far:
The air-up kit ( I didn't get a shot of the compressor yet)

Flipped the U-Bolts (Don't worry, that is brake fluid and is leftover from when the shop bled the brakes)

And the finale! (for today :spy: )

I am really going to try to get the next update by Friday, but we'll see how FedEx and Peerless Tire work with me.

Just wait till you try that locker.. It's awesome. When my 4wd was out of commission I just wheeled it 2wd with the locker and made it through some shit.

Thanks a lot dude, She is coming together pretty well now!

I lived in Gresham for a while, I miss the green-ness of Oregon. And the blueberries and blackberries that grew everywhere! I loved flogging my built civic on the Columbia River Highway every weekend. Multnomah Falls was gorgeous.

FedEx brought the last of the goodies for a while, and the tire shop is working with me to make sure I get in and out before I leave for the hills this weekend!
Stay tuned for the final stage of this evolution!

Moab, I am almost ready for you!

Casino buddies? Did you win some $$$ to get all that done?! And does that switch configure your clutch to behave differently offroad or something? Just never seen it, but I have an auto sr5...

Yep in dec went to Vegas and took enough money from Vegas to re gear / lockers. The button helps when you are on a steep hill and can't press the clutch all the way in.
