Just the pics in my build thread.
I have run all the local trails numerous times with another truck but I've only run Green Ridge and 7-Mile in the Tacoma so far, back when it was stock.
I'll get it out more this summer, probably see you out there.

Been meaning to update this with my new purchase. Still waiting on some parts to make sure the winch will work in there, but should be on by middle of next week.

Thanks buddy! Sorry I didn't come out to do it at your place. It definitely took longer than I thought but my father in law helped me In his heated shop, so that was nice.

hmmm.... close heated shop vs driving a ways to an unheated garage with slush on the floor.

I approve of your decision making skills.

Got my DayStar urethane rollers for the fairlead last night. I have to go to a 4x4 shop or have someone more experienced with a winch check out to see if my thimble setup looks solid before I hook everything up, although I will be able to install the fairlead and do the final leveling/straightening of the arb this weekend.
Anybody know if I should spool out and roll up the winch line BEFORE I install the fairlead so that I can inspect the drum more easily, or is it more important to just inspect the line?

Installed rollers and fairlead. Spooled out winch line and it looked good. There was some rust on the last few feet of it from the drum. Not sure if that is bad but I spooled it back up (I have had this winch for a year and never been able to test it out). It worked fine.

Dude, nice bumper. I have the exact same bumper sitting in my garage awaiting my return from the desert. I failed to get it mounted before I left. I was able to get the Budbuilt skids installed though. I'll have to buy you some beer and have you help me mount mine as soon as I get back.

I figured you must be outta town somewhere. I texted you a few times to see about doing them both the same day! How have you been?! Anyway, it is pretty easy (or at least it will be now that I have done one already). When do you get back? I almost felt bad because I know how long you looked for this bumper on CL. I decided to look for one and found it same day, ten minutes from my house. I went to look at it and bought it within a day of starting looking for it. Used in basically perfect condition.

It grew on me too. When I bought it I thought it was hideous but loved it later. My wife was the same way. This one is much quieter on the highway and holds my winch. Plus the airbags are supposed to work just as well as the oem bumper and that sold me since I have my family with me so much.

Finalized the plan for my rear bumper last night. Now I just need to dissect my drawing to get a materials list together. I have gone through so many ideas but I am going to pull the trigger on this one. Too bad for you guys though cuz I think I am going to keep this a secret until it is done!
