Cool! I've been thinking about building a big boxy aussie style box for the back of mine someday:

Is that one of the Norweld ones? https://www.mainlineoverland.com/
Looks like really nice units except for the extra zero on the price compared to others.

I wish some one sold angled toolboxes like that, or even small square ones. Most underbody boxes I find are to big for a tacoma.

I don't think that one is a Norweld, but I know what you're talking about. I might have to settle for a contractor canopy with the barn doors if I could find one.

interested to see how yours turns out

Still have to finish the tail.
    Slated to get:
Cab protector, underbody toolboxs, full fenders, and some mechanical system to help load.

    New tires!
Decided my old ATs should probably be replaced before my trip out west. After a bit of research I settled on Hankook MTs.

And after a first hand demo courtesy of @Sasquatchtaco I bought a set of traction boards.

Also added a toolbox and headboard from a friend's 2500 he was selling. I just bolted them down, nothing fancy. You can just see them in one of pics above.

Just put them in the toolbox for now. Still looking for a good spot to mount them.
I was kinda thinking mounting it with the spare tire, but I haven't figured where to mount the tire either.
I've been debating the idea of a roof rack. Not sure if I like the idea or not.

Installed a new trailer connector over the weekend. Tired of having to deal with corrosion on the trailer plugs, hopefully this helps.

I know who to call to do mine.

crazy story.. about two months ago I took the truck to the wash and the brushes ripped the trailer hook up, I didn't know it at the time. anyway...I pulled off the wash and stopped to get it vacuumed and stuff... it wouldn't move afterwards. It would start fine but the tranny would not cooperate. crazy! a few hrs later the shop figured it was a fuse. all the connectors from the trailer hook up touched as the brush ripped it and blew a fuse. now I need a new hook up.
