As much as I like that idea.....
    -This is my daily driver,
    - I don't have a garage (I rent an apartment)
    - And to me, buying a car and then keeping it in storage or in a garage seems like a waste of money.

Yes, what others wrote about "damage multipliers" is true.
For what you initially save in $$$ is compounded if/when bambi plays chicken on the freeway.

Watch CL (searchtempest.com), offerupnow or TW classifieds for 1st gen plate bumper, bite the bullet and get it.

Here is one -> Relentless Alum bumper

Lemme get my frame checked before I drop $600+ on extra pieces. Knowing my luck I'd buy and install this and then have the vehicle not pass inspection because of the frame lol.

"Brush" guards are for shopping carts.

Go with the ARB for true front end protection/solid recovery point. Check Wheeler's Off Road for the best prices. Shouldn't be an issue with NY DOT...all of the signals are retrofitted and the ARB actually works with your crush zone/air bag sensors. Very easy and straightforward install with excellent hardware and instructions.

You won't regret this mod, ever.
