I've had a rear work light mounted on most of my vehicles for the last 15 years... my favorite has been the dual-beam (55w x 2) Hella work lamp. It's handy for finding things in the bed, hooking up a trailer at night and backing up unlit driveways and roads. The only place I can figure out where to mount cleanly is on a BackRack. But, that's a pricey venture ($320 for the BackRack and $75 for the light) for what amounts to just improved lighting - I don't put anything in the bed of such consequence that I really need the protection that the BackRack offers. Plus, I have an Access Rollup, so I don't even think I can mount a BackRack.

Where are you guys mounting rear lights? I'd prefer to not have it/them beneath the rear bumper, as they'll likely get knocked off.

Can't find anything in the archives...

I'm planning on mounting rear lights one each side near the hitch. This seems to be a great place about a foot on each side. That's my plan. It'll be a cheap way of doing it. I saw it done here before. Hopefully the guy will respond, it was a cool setup.

But yeah, I agree we do need more light back there.

I had 2 rear facing lights mounting by the hitch, went off-roading and ripped one off before I even had the electrical connections made. I am going to hold off on the rear lights until I have my roof basket built.
