    Hey there,

I have been thinking about this for a while, but mostly avoiding it for fear of spending the dough and doing a shit job.

Anyone mind giving us amateurs a tutorial and perhaps a picture of how to mount L-track?

I know, I know, its straightforward. My main questions:
    1. Any good way of measuring where to place the holes such that a bolt won't interfere with any of the reinforcing ribs on the underside?
    2. Should I be using an aluminum strip as a backing for the bolts?

    Thanks!

    Measure twice, drill once.

I used us cargo control l track. The version that fits in the channels in the bed. I did buy extra big washers for backing from the hardware store. I wouldn’t use it for something heavy like a motorcycle. It does work perfect for ice chests, cargo boxes, and stuff like that.

It was a two person job tightening up the nuts and bolts. One person under the bed and one above. I didn’t add any sections too close to the cab. It was difficult to reach under the bed up there.

I don’t have any pictures. See Croms build in the 2nd gen section for some.
