Why aren’t there better options for mounting things like shovels to existing bed rails for Tacomas? Really feel like someone is missing the mark. All I can find are super expensive, over engineered options. I’m not going to spend a ton of money to attach a shovel. I’ll just toss in the bed. If anyone knows of a low cost option please let me know. Thanks.

I bought some mounts for ammo cans but then made my own for shovels/snow brooms, etc. got the zinc bar stock at Tractor Supply and the quick mounts and t-nuts from Amazon.

that’s a 2nd gen bed cargo rail that bolts directly in -$35 at the dealership

A lot of people buy those and hang stuff from them with great success (as long as it's not a lot of weight).

The T nuts came included with the setup and all.

Only seen it in person because I made a tire mount for a member here.

You can also grab t-nuts and those velcro straps I have in the pic as well.
I use those straps inside- the headrest posts slide right through the grommet. Good for holding a backpack, lunchbag, groceries or whatever in place while driving.

Love the close-up of the quick fists, made these for someone as I heard they can release/let go sometimes

A quickfist goes in said bracket, but the bracket ensures it doesn't open or fall out?

    I don't know just had a request so I made a few.

That was a test piece, holes were reemed out.

Thanks everyone. I’ll just make something with these suggestions. I was hoping there was something I could purchase that I was overlooking in my research. Those MOLLE systems are ridiculously expensive and I don’t need to mount everything and the kitchen sink. I like simple. Ha.
