Has anyone ever tried mounting an aftermarket stereo in the glove box? I was thinking about putting a single DIN in there so I could play my iPod. If you have a picture of how it turned out that would also be appreciated.

i would think that could be a little annoying as you could not reach it while driving, better off putting it in the center console no?

but i guess if you are just running an ipod and don't need to reach it, then it doesn't really matter.

I've mounted them in other cars.. The tacoma box is big enough to do it in. But like Jackhart said, you can't really use the face controls at all. If the box is closed, can't use the remote as well. Kinda annoying.

I was just thinking it would safer hiding it there, maybe I'll just mount it in the dash and throw a towel over it.
