Mounting Tape

Hey all, I have a dash cam with a rear-facing camera, and for my life, I cannot find anything to keep it stuck to the window. The adhesive sticks to the glass but not the camera's plastic. Any Recommendations?

 

I've had good luck sticking things in place with this:

rough up the plastic with some coarse sandpaper.

 

The auto glass shop that replaced my windshield a few weeks ago used Gorilla mounting tape for my dash cam. No issues so far.

Look for the indoor/outdoor that bonds permanently.

I think I will try this. Do you recommend scratching up the smooth plastic for a better bond?

 

LOL...just saw this. I will defiantly do this.

 

It’s not necessary with the Gorilla mounting tape, it bonds equally well to smooth and rough surfaces. Look for the one that claims to “bond permanently.”
