Sorry if this has been asked before, but did a lot of searching and haven't come up with anything yet. Looking to add an awning to the side of an ARE TW shell. I was wondering if anyone has mounted anything to the side of their fiberglass shell? I understand the process... but was wondering if there was anything I was missing like weight capacity etc. My awning weighs 22lbs and I was planning on using a mount similar to this. The roof won't work because it is being utilized and is slanted. Crude mockup attached.Taco.jpg

I put gutter plates and handles on my snugtop. Just measure and drill. Beware when the bit goes through the shell and hits the carpet liner and adhesive... the carpet stuff likes to wind up on the bit. I used shoe goo on the bolts for waterproofing.
