Due to a stroke 4months ago, I have a right foot that will move down but not up. As a result, I can push the gas. Pedal down but can’t currently let off the gas. As a result, the only way that I can drive is to cross my left leg over to the right and use my left foot on the gas pedal.

I need to move the gas pedal to the left
Or install a second gas pedal (I like this solution)
Or install a hand throttle (I don’t have full use of my right hand)

Do any of you know how to do any of the solutions above or have a different solution ?
I would really appreciate all of your responses (serious or not)

    Thanks guys.

Hunt your area for a handicap vehicle shop. They will be experienced in solving and installing a solution for you.

I would go with a second gas pedal instead of hand controls. I used to know someone at Church who, because of a medical condition had hand controls installed in their Honda Accord. The controls worked fine and were even removable if someone else drove the car, however re-learning how to drive using only hands after probably 40 years was hard and in certain situations caused her to make mistakes which led to a couple of close calls and one collision in a parking lot.

Hand controls as mentioned from a shop that specializes in handicapped vehicles.

I had a friend with a '69 Judge who was classified as a quadriplegic by the VA with hand controls for throttle/brake.

I could easily work the gas/brake to drive it with either my right foot or my left hand. And yes, he even drag raced it.
