Yeah, I agree in the movies everything is exaggerated, so I see where you are coming from.

I hope they will build a monument for his service to this country and how much he gave for all of our freedoms. People like him are why I can express my opinions here, so that is the least this country can do for him.

Make sure to bring your own seat covers. DO NOT put your arms and hands on the "fold-down arm rests" either!!! ROFL!!! When you finally get home, remember to take a shower in gasoline and light yourself on fire to "dry off"!!!

@ODNAREM Ron and @TXpro4X4 Bryan would you agree about the showering after? LOL!!!

    1) It's a HBO TV series, but "From the Earth to the Moon" is excellent!!!
    2) It's another made for TV series, but excellent is "SHOGUN" by James Clavell
    3) October Sky
    4) It's a foreign film, but arguably the best adaptation of William Shakespeares' Macbeth is "Throne of Blood" directed by Akira Kurosawa
    5) The Right Stuff
    6) Apollo 13
    7) Wholly Moses, just a hilarious comedy with Dudley Moore
    8) Foul Play with Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase
    9) The Money Pit with Tom Hanks and Shelley Long
    10) Caveman with Ringo Starr
    11) many, many more added here

@TXpro4X4 Bryan you and Charity might like to watch some of these? I think Sidney would just laugh watching October Sky!!!

Shawshank, private Ryan, Star Wars (original) and Empire, Godfather, Good, bad, &ugly, and outlaw Josey Wales definitely in my top classics.

Runners up...Sneakers and The Last Castle are both Robert Redford and both really well made.

New movies...Fury was a pretty good ww2 flick. Dead pool was also pretty good.

As former military, those men/young boys always have my admiration for the HELL they dealt with in battle. There is just no way I can ever talk shit about or men in the military or my Country.

Yeah, I went to the first "Ultimate Marvel Marathon" and brought a seat cushion. That was a cool experience, but by the time the Avengers played, I was exhausted and didn't enjoy the experience as much, as if I hadn't to have watched "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor" (presented in RealD 3D), "Captain America: The First Avenger" (presented in RealD 3D) beforehand.

For just $40, fans experienced the marathon, including "Marvel's The Avengers." Each guest received a pair of limited-edition Avenger character RealD 3D glasses and an event lanyard. I got lucky and got my tickets off Ebay for $18 :bananadance:. I did get Hulk 3D glasses, which were cool, but don't think I would do it again.

I don't typically watch dramas or any shows for that matter but I really got into animal kingdom when it previewed. Kid loses his mom and then moves in with his grandma and uncles with a crazy twist.

Yeah, Babadook is the type of movie I wouldn't mind rewatching every so often. The acting was so great and you really cared about the mother and son, that it draws you in and keeps hold throughout the movie. To me it was a huge plus they weren't superstars, it just added a dimension of reality to the movie, seeing them as ordinary people IMO.

The preview looks good/intense, thanks I will check it out. I agree, it's sometimes good to go out of your "genre box" and explore new movies you don't ordinarily watch. I guess what they say is true, "variety is the spice of life".
