Gummo and Requiem for a dream.

 

Requiem bugs me every time they do that fast detail montage of their pupils dilating whenever they get high; opiates cause your pupils to pinpoint, not enlarge (yes, I misspent the better part of my youth). I don't know why but it drives me nuts lol.

If you haven't read the book, it's really good.

Back when Adam Sandler movies were good. Watched his new one (the do over) on Netflix the other night. It was just OK...

I will stop and watch any of Bruce Lee's movies if they are on but because I own them all I'll start them over on DVD.

 

You guys talking Vampire movies, my all time favorite is a little known movie from 1987 'Near Dark'.

Haven't seen a lot of that genre...

Blade 1-3 - Ryan Reynolds obv the best in #3 but I enjoyed the whole series...
Dracula Untold - actually not that bad, had really low expectations going in though...
Underworld (maybe the first 2, I know I've for sure seen the first one) - just ok imo
Fright Night (2011 with Colin Ferrel) - I enjoyed this one a lot. Campy "horror/thriller". Reminded me a lot of Disturbia (Shia LeBeouf) and I really liked that movie (and I hate horror movies!).

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I need to see From Dusk till Dawn

Edit: I've also seen Van Helsing but I didn't like it much. Too much like Underworld. I usually like all things Hugh Jackman too but this one just didn't do it for me...

 

I'm a Horror movie junkie so I enjoy them. Interview with the Vampire was good. My Favorite will always be Salem's Lot. It was the first vampire movie I ever saw and it stuck. I also like Lost Boys but I'm a 80's movie whore. Once Bitten with Jim Carrey is a classic as well even if not that great.

 

I also liked Underworld; Blade (only the 1st one); The Lost Boys; Fright Night (the original), all good movies.
Near Dark breaks off from traditional Vampire lure, they don't fly or turn into bats but definitely a good storyline on vampires.

 

Universal is in the midst of creating their "Monster Universe"

The first was Dracula Untold. The Mummy is the next in the series with Tom Cruise and Russel Crowe. Crowe is Dr. Jekyll/Hyde...

My interest is peaked

 

The Prestige is a really good movie.

 

Anything Nolan - especially with Christian Bale...and Hugh Jackman of course...

 

Just watched 10 Cloverfield Lane. I loved Cloverfield and have been hoping for a sequel since I walked out of the theatre. This one was nothing like I expected but it was as intense as it could get. The last 10min were awesome, if they make another sequel I hope it's just more of that. It also confirmed a lot of the "theories" from the first movie.

I like all things J.J. and Bad Robot

 

American gangster. Awesomeness.

 

No idea if it's already been said, but Godfather 1 and 2. Hard to pick which is better.

 

For those that like Michael Connelly books the show Bosch on Amazon Prime is pretty good. Now in season 2.
