Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
Transformation scene freaked me out. Saw that movie, among others...way too young. Thanks HBO.

Two of my honorable mentions are Gremlins and Critters.

I think The Elephant man was my earliest freakout memory. That shit burned in my brain and would not vacate.

The other, when I was maybe 6-7 yrs old was a b horror movie called Madman (Marz). The old farmer murdered his family and if you say his name above a whisper he would come and kill you. Well, were out camping sometime after seeing that and my brother and I left the campfire to go take a wizz. On the way back, my dear old dad jumped out and screamed MAD MAN MARS and started chasing us.

Yeah, I found it and watched it there instead of hunting for my VHS copy. :D I didn't come to any great realization about death when I watched this as a kid, because I mean that I really was a LITTLE kid. I was like 3-5 years old when I used to watch it all the time. At that time, I was just scared shitless by the magnet and the AC. But I loved the magnet too- I would scare my older sister pretending to be that magnet. I'd run around behind her, making the sounds that the magnet makes. Always sounded like "Kink-arr-kee!" to me. :D

I know that one! That's called Small Soldiers. This is it, right? :D

My dad for whatever reason, let me watch the Omen and exorsist when I was pretty young. And I was pretty afraid of being possessed specialy after the exorsist. I remember after the omen, I made myself, what I called my "damien stick" kinda of like a walking stick that I drew a cross on, and some other stuff. I was gonna use it to beat the shit out if damien if I ever saw him. LOL. Aahhhh memories.

I remember that movie! That evil witch always freaked me out, can't remember her name though. Isn't there several versions of that movie? I watched an animated one.

Can't forget this scene either, Cruella's face probably gave us all nightmares, those devlish red eyes. One thing though, that crazy bitch can drive! Haha, the video starts 30 seconds in just FYI.
