Is it possible to buy an aftermarket mirror that displays the stock backup camera signal? Any experience? Better options?

My son's 2011 has an OEM mirror with the display in it. I don't know if that will mount in a 2019, but it might be an option. Then you'd have to figure out the wiring.

yes, i did exactly this in my '18.

i specifically run non-touchscreen head units. my preference. but that means that the oem camera display doesn't work because there's no screen for it.

i found bob's mirrors via some ebay sales he was doing. https://www.bobsmirrors.com/ he didn't have anything on the ebay listing that i needed, but i went on his website and emailed him what i was looking to do.

he set me up with the plug/harness including wires as long as i needed (i just needed 18" pigtails), a nice hookup diagram, and followed up making sure i was aware i needed a 6v power supply adapter as well .. very knowledgeable and prompt on all of it. he even offered to buy back my old mirror.

i used the metra AXBUCH-T36V for the video breakout as well as the 6v converter. i don't know what your plans are, but that cable pulls the video signal off the oem wiring, so it no longer goes into the head unit. i don't know if all the plugs are there for the stock head unit to still connect, as it was never a concern for me.

it was about 1.5 years ago-- complete setup with mirror and harness was $209 at the time, and he was offering to buy back the old mirror for roughly $100. my plans shuffled and i just never got around to sending him my old mirror. but i'd absolutely do business with him again if the need arose.
