I mounted a caliraised 42" slim single row led bar onto my prinsu rack. I'm really happy with it but the glare that comes off the hood is something else. It's so bright and in my face that I pretty much prefer to run without the roof light on, which defeats the whole purpose. I've seen those metal sheets that people put under them to block the light from going down, but damn they ugly and I imagine create a lot of wind noise. Also seen the vinyl people put on the hood but I don't like the look of those. Anyone tried moving the lightbar farther back into the prinsu lightbar cutout so that the light can keep going forward but not go down as much? I'd like to avoid making that change only to find that it doesn't work. Any other solutions?

Looks like it needs to be pointed up a lot more. It’s supposed to shine down the road not right in front of you

This is why I hate light bars on the roof. Point it up higher or sell it and get the one that goes in the front bumper.

Get your hood wrapped in satin black your NEVER getting away from glair from any light on your roof

Don't try the carbon fibre look either most of that is shiny & still reflects light

Update: I moved the light bar back and it did the trick. No glare off of the hood. Light still goes out but not downward.

You're only supposed to use it off road anyway.

I suppose it depends if it's a true spot or flood. A true spot will clear the hood easily but most light bar's are hybrids. Glad it worked for you.
