We test drove the Rav4 when my wife was looking for a new car back in february. No offense, but it felt like a giant pile of crap compared to the Highlander we ended up buying.

Just different vehicles feel, our Tacoma is parked for the winter (Alberta) and so is the Yaris. The '04 Pilot is on winter duty and ofcourse is different, but I like them in their own way. That 3.5L v-tech to me is so smooth, since new on Red Line then later Mobil1 or Amsoil. Drained and filled the transmission oil a few times, premium Shell always...and it's Made in :canada:!

Traded our 2011 RAV4 Sport with 230k miles in toward the ‘22 Tacoma. The RAV treated us well but it was time. Enjoy the RAV!

When I was married ages ago, the wife and I had a then new 2008 limited V6 RAV4 and it hauled ass. It may still be the fastest vehicle I’ve ever owned. Water pump went bad about 2 years in but that was covered under warranty. I think it was AWD too. Sadly no more V6 Ravs. It always did what I needed it to. The wife, not so much.

Don’t mind at all. We got $2,000. Needed struts and my wife backed into it (twice) and had front passenger side dents from it. She also had a deer jump into the passenger side rear door and had some cosmetic damage from that. Carvanna offered $1,200. Barber offered us $1,500.

Fox Toyota in Rochester Hills, MI and Adam really worked well with us. No hassle trade and finance. In/out in an hour. Quoted us $2400 on TRD lift OTD too - which seems fair. Wife is now even thinking about trading the Honda van in for a Sienna or 4Runner. Best experience I’ve had thus far. They called as soon as they got the first allocation anf gave us first pick. The SR5 has all I need and I’m really happy.

This statement is a little ambiguous the way it's phrased...do you mean the RAV4 didn't fit your wife's needs, or is there an alternative interpretation we should consider ;)?

Trucks are certainly good for hauling animal carcasses around lol. I used to pull a small trailer when I had my old 4Runner so having the bed in the back has been nice in that regard. Congrats on the Rav4 friend!

I had a 07 RAV4 with the 270hp V6 and 4wd. That thing was pretty quick! Got totaled in a rear end collision. Miss that car but I would rather have the truck.

The Rav was a performer. Alternative interpretation for the ex, haha.

My wife has a 2007 RAV4 w/ the 2GR-FE. Sleeper that hauls ass for sure. I read somewhere it's the fastest stock production Toyota for the 2000's. I've smoked a few Boxers and STI's in that baby lol

    A bunch..and no build thread!
We test drove the Rav4 right before the wife decided on a 22 4Runner. She liked it but needed something bigger.

Too much Soy in the diet? Rav4 is a nice girl car.

Good luck in the search for your manhood.

That dang ole Rav 4 hung with my wife's Edge St in the twisties headed down to San Diego last week. I was really impressed how quick and agile those Rav 4 are.

My brother originally bought his first rave4 in 96, that little suv went everywhere till one day a 3/4 ton dodge ram creamed him head-on. He was extremely lucky all the damage was on the passenger side, and no one but him was driving the rave4. At any rate it was totaled, and he bought a highlander till a couple years ago buying a hybrid rave4. Its a great vehicle nothing like the first one. I was amazed at the power its got vs the old one. One not so good thing about this rave4, i'd hate to take where he use to drive the old on...way too nice.
