Sell and pay off your debt. Nothing more liberating than being debt free. Save a ton of money on your deployment if possible and buy something cash when you get back. I assume the military will be taking care of your room and board on your deployment? Great opportunity to save loads of cash for a few years. Thanks for your service, btw!

    This ^

Who wants to make a two year deposit of $20k in my bank with the terms being I'll watch your $20k and give you $17k back after the two years are up? Ridiculous, but this is the same thing.

The time has finally come. I’ll be putting her up and hopefully sold next month. Going to list it at $22,500 and see what happens. Things that made the decision: moving overseas with 0 debt, votes, planning on getting a bigger boat within the next 8 years (30-40’ sportfisher) and probably living on it. Thanks everyone for your feedback and support. Going to miss this community

    Best of luck to you.

BTW, check Carvana for an offer to buy your truck. I sold my '12 and the price was very close to my asking price. Very easy and they came to me to pick it up. Could be one less element to deal with before leaving.

    Godspeed.

But you'll be getting COLA and increased BAS. That's extra money youll start seeing once you get there. IPAC never tells people this.

I checked carmax too. Carvana came in $1,300 higher in my case. As their commercial says, "It didn't suck!"
