Thx for the offer. Currently my relocation of the ECT button to the area in front of the E-brake is working sufficiently and now MESO makes a single switch holder for those thinking of doing the same.

Excellent! If you ever need anything else like that (adding illuminated lead, tie in MESO stealth but keep the OEM switch, ECT) I am also here. Several folks are more than willing to put custom harnesses together.

I'm familiar with the MESO stealth add-on to the the shift knobs. I have had a few TW members purchase a custom wire harnesses for adding this illumination mod to their TRD Pro shift knobs.

Typically when towing. The latest tunes (I offer anyhow) make non-ECT use still performance based, so the button is really just targeted for loads now. Varies based on tune though.

I heard from someone else here, who got his Tune from, his VF flasher made his ECT button into a 25% more boost mode button. Do you have that/ do that? After I got my tune, I no longer need to use my Ect always.

25% more boost would be a Twin-turbos or a SC. Now 20-25 +whp that is more in line with current peak tuning possibles on a stock truck. I don't know why you'd only want that with ECT enabled though when you can have it smoothed out over the powerband all the time. But you certainly "can" tweak the ECT only settings to alter it's shift points...I mean that's what it does stock. I'm with you, I have no regular need for the ECT with the latest tune. We are finally at that point which is pretty awesome.

I have not and find the trouble of its location not bothersome for the one second it takes to push

    You're right.
    I misspoke.
What he actually said was :
"Hey Alex. My tuner programmed my ECT button to be like a “turbo” button. It’s got like 25% more throttle response and shifts at a higher RPM. Honestly the truck is almost undrivable with the ECT on for daily driving. It’ll spin the tires from a stop without trying. But for freeway on ramps, pulling out onto a divided highway or to pass it’s amazing.... snip"

Well that is certainly possible for anyone with a tune. In fact the tunes we have now always have (2) variants, one with more "tip-in" as it's referred to which just means less angle of the pedal = more throttle request. But the best tunes are those that give you better control all around.
@oostroma - I have a lead for you in Ontario that can get you the best tune out there right now. If you are interested just PM me and I'll connect you both. It's is the best mod affordable money can buy.

With the right tune he can have all that and not be spinning the tires all the time.....power applied correctly vs power that's wasted/lost

I really like this. Where did you get that switch holder to mount into the center console?

I was able to get a TW member to send me the part he cut out of the dash to install the MESO multi-switch panel. I then used a hot knife adapter for my soldering gun to cut the ECT button holder out and cut a hole with the hot knife in the lower console. Once I posted I messaged MESO requesting a single ECT switch holder and he made one for me. There are available now to order from MESO ($10) but you have to request directly since it is not posted on the site.

I will tell you I really like the relocation. It is almost in the same place as the ECT button in my 2017 Kia Forte5 SX.
