My wife and I are moving to Alaska in just under 4 months. We recently bought Jesus' favorite pickup, a 2012 double cab v6 4x4, as our Alaska-mobile, I haven't done any mods yet, that's why I'm posting this, we are getting either a 12-14ft cargo trailer to haul our stuff in, we don't have a whole lot it's just is 2. But I was wondering if any of you would suggest any mods for that road trip, 4350 miles, to increase towing, hp, etc... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Getting there...
Did you get the factory tow package? New tires and lights would be my vote. Maybe airbags depending on how much that trailer is. The only thing proven to make large gains in power on these trucks are forced induction, but that's $$$. Other mods don't seem to do much for power and MPG.

I do have the factory tow package, we are looking to get new tires for the trek as well. Thank you!
