How's the housing in the Miami/Globe area? Also, no smog right? :)

I'm applying with Freeport right now, may apply with BHP as well.

Freedom loving Wyomingite/Nevadan so don't worry!

Not sure about housing in that area, but you couldn't pay me to live in Globe/Miami. Although you would be close to the rim, about 2 hours away...and close to lake Roosevelt, there's really nothing to do there.

Well can't imagine it's much different than where I'm from. :p I'm not about city life.

In all the mining towns up here it's really hard to find housing, that's why I ask.

Just checked out land around Williams after spending a couple of days in Sedona. 40 acres and a 31' trailer could be cheap & fine for a personal Zen Center. :D Gawd, I love Northern AZ!

Morenci/Safford are E/NE of Globe. Morenci is a tiny little mining town, and Safford is a little bigger but not much. Both are about 2.5 - 3 hours away from Tucson/Phoenix

I had a Freeport recruiter call me today about two jobs at Morenci. I'm no stranger to isolated and small. Just wondering what the towns are like, internet, cell service, housing as well. Anyone out there? Guess you live in Morenci, Safford is too far.

I don't believe there are any members here from Morenci or Safford. I have a coworker who is from Morenci and he stated that housing there is pretty damn cheap.

Anyway, we'll see, I'm currently looking for employment here in NV as well but whichever, if at all, comes first I'll probably take. AZ seems like a great state.
