    The shell will allow you to register the truck as a car rather than a commercial vehicle. It'll save about $80 on the weight fees for commercial vehicles. The shell has to be permanently mounted. If you take it off, you could get a ticket. I don't think that a shell mounted with j-hooks qualifies as permanently mounted.

    Note that you have to get it registered within 20 days of your arrival.

    The TRD CAI would fail the visual inspection portion of the smog check (no inspection for the first 5 years and then every 2 years after that) but some people have found shops that overlook it. I don't know if they'll require a smog check upon registering it in California. I don't think the exhaust will cause any grief.

    Man i though my Registartion was bad but looking at some of your mine was cheap. Last year mine was $255 this year was $346 :eek:. I though the registration was supposed to get cheaper when your car or truck gets older wtf. Stupid Califonria Govment making are state Broke as SH$t. I hear are state is going to run out of money in July OHHH JOY!!!! " I say are State start selling Weed and taxing then will for sure get out what we are in right now. :D
