Give us an update when you make it to town. I'm in Windsor - plenty of outposts in Fort Collins to plant yourself and enjoy a meal or brew.

Nitto TG, Toyo open country II/III, Cooper XLT are good choices for all year long. I put on Cooper XLT tires on last time. They work great in snow, but they wear fast. To be fair, I tow heavy and diesels tear up tires anyway. I will be lucky to get 30k miles out of the 60k warranty. Toyo Open Country ATIII will be my next choice.

man tough decision. if i could have bought my dads old 1st gen tundra i would have.

4wd is a must like everyone else says. you can get away without it, but there may be a cumulative week where you cant drive.

    sounds like youre financially set.

honestly id say sell the tacoma and tundra (if neither have sentimental value) and buy a new vehicle. finance the shit out of it and enjoy it. yea saving for later is always smart, but you cant spend it if you die.

you could probably sell the tundra in co for more than you could in az too. so maybe you get here and decide you want something newer.

im also terrible with money but like to think i have good times

Great suggestions though I think I've narrowed it down to the coopers and hankooks. Thank you.

Hah, I wouldn't say I'm attached to the Tundra but it's got 310k on it and she's been nothing but reliable. Plus I don't think I can get much for it if I did decide to sell. Tacoma is just a dd that has served me well and will net me a large profit.

I'm very averse to carrying any form of debt if it's not real estate which is why I'm forgoing an auto loan. And driving the tundra has been nothing but smiles and don't think a new truck will give me different feeling.

Hah, fair enough. I think it was also along the lines of a personal finance question as well and was seeking out the experience of others as some may have run into this before. I was hesitant to put 2k+ into the Tundra but the majority agree that it is worth it and considering used truck prices right now, I am on board.
