Cheap investment to protect a pricey one from being taken

 

Exactly. I get scared with all my light bars and everything. But they are mounted kinda tricky so it wouldn't be a easy job taking them

 

Yeah for sure. Most thiefs will be kept honest when you have a little extra deterrent there, but if someone wants something bad enough, they can take it

 

Ya, unfortunately anything on the truck can be taken. Just gotta be careful.

Awning installed! Here's a little write up on how I mounted my ARB 1250 awning to my Prinsu cabrack.
Started off by getting the hardware. You can buy it from lowes or Home Depot. I bought :
(6) 1/4 x 5/8 x 1/2 stainless steel bushings
(6) m6 1.0 x 40 bolts
(6) m6 locking nuts
(6) washers left over from my rack.
Here is where I mounted the bolts, 4 bolts in the top slots (circled in green) and 1 in each lower slot (circled in red).

Then put the awning up to the rack, put all the bolts in the correct slots, and mounted it up. Sits at a perfect height, and doesn't interfere with the doors what so ever. Only thing I could of done better was to remove the cross bars that were over the lower bolts as they were in the way and could of made it easier to get them on. Hope this helps! Well, after a week of debate, I finally made my confirmed decision on the wheels I want. Went with the method race wheel NV's. Should be all mounted up in a couple weeks.

 

How were you able to take this apart and off? I'm wanting to paint mine like you did also and can't figure out really how it comes off. Thanks

 

Start by taking off your shifter knob, once that is off, then there are 4 clips holding it in place (one in each corner) gently pry the console up and boom, it's off. Shouldn't be too hard, clips come up pretty easy just don't force anything or use any tools and you should be good!

I have the same ones and I love them. My only complaint is the outer lip that holds water. We call them rim lakes.

Lots of good stuff today! Method NV's, SPC greasable ball joints, and oem brake pads!

 

Method NV's are installed. Put my bestop back on along with cleaned up the wiring for the 3rd brake light. Going to install my new upper control arm ball joints soon, and hoping to get a all pro gear rack to mount my rotopax and my Rubbermaid action packers!

I'll try and get some tomorrow. But just put some plastic loom over the wire and zip tied it along the bars of the bestop to try and hide it as best I could!
