    2006 Silver Tacoma Ext Cab
Hello all, first time poster so please cut me some slack if I am being naive.

To preface my question, I am sure this has been asked before but with my unfamiliarity with forums, I did not find anything too helpful after a few searches.

I have a 2006 Tacoma extended cab that I bought and used, and it came with 16 "fake beadlock" method wheels with BFG At's that were past due for replacement. America Tire recommended the Falken wild peak highway terrain tires which I am pleased with in terms of road noise and the decreased weight which I'm sure lead to a marginal MPG gain.

    Now here is my question:
I NEVER off-road and am exploring what will be the best option for increasing MPG, and decreasing tire replacement costs in the future. I've noticed stock alloy Tacoma wheels go for pretty cheap for a set on Craigslist so was thinking I could pick up a set of wheels, and pair them with a lighter street tire to suit my needs.

My truck also has Bilistine 1500 series adjustable shocks on their second highest setting, and I would like to lower it too, if possible, after settling on some new tires and seeing what I can do (to increase MPG and make it easier to put my surfboards on top lol)

    What do y'all think/suggest?

HT tires will increase mpgs, lowering the height of your truck will increase mpgs, and if you install the factory under front bumper air dam (if there is one for your 06) that will help.
