    I get 13 mpg on 265/70/17s. Lol.
Gas in Hawaii is like $3.40 a gallon. Fill up once a week.
    Don't care. It's a truck. If I cared about mpg I'd get a motorcycle.

I average 18 to 19 in town here in Va. on the East Coast, mostly about 15 minutes on interstate and some side roads on my work commute. I have seen 23 to25 on a small trip once. I have a 2018 Sport 4wd DCLB, lifted on 5100s and 265/70/17 SL rated tires. I saw no loss in MPG after the lift.

I have a 2019 At TRD Pro with about 2.8k and getting about 20 mpg. Its all about not mashing the pedal. Also look into the OVTune 1.05 for MT when it comes out. That might help.

I also have a 2018 pro. I typically get 13mpg because I live 1.2 miles from work. So between the cold start, 2 stop signs , and 2 lights it's not great. At 70mph on winter gas I get 20 or 21. At 55mph and winter gas I get 27mpg.

In Va Beach, live on far west side of county/city, have to drive to base on the oceanfront, about 13 miles, couple legs at 55mph. Get about 17-18 with many stops/starts. I do keep that idiot gas milage thing up on my display, I know when I drop into low 17's or 16's I'm driving too aggressively. I do find if I get up quickly to speed for the road section I'm on then let overdrive kick in it averages out much better, if that makes sense.

Accelarating quickly to reach desired speed then easy on the gas give me better mpg than slowly accelerating. Mine is automatic though

Your mileage is about what I get. Which is about what I got in the city in my 200lb heavier 2016 Sienna with the same engine. Except on the highway where the slippery Sienna obviously gets better mileage. The problem with highway mileage, and you can do this as an experiment, is it drops drastically the faster you go. Anything over 65 you’re not going to get over 20mpg. Unless you’re tailgating semis.

Try running 89 non-ethanol for a few tanks. I use it all the time and never get less than 20 mpg around town with my 2017 Sport MT.

Once, and I mean only once, I got 400 miles on one tank. 55-60mph in moderate traffic on the highway. Running regular 87 octane

    Usually it is like 16-17.

Ya my 2013 was AT, and I do think my 2018's transmission is very smooth and forgiving. I guess the AT transmission for the 3rd was another leap from the 2nd gen also. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

What people never mention when posting their MPG is whether they're measuring in UK gallons or US gallons, which is an option in the settings menu of your Entune entertainment system. 1 UK Gallon = 1.2 US Gallons.

I have a 2017 MT, and I get about 17.5-18.5 MPG driving 65-72 MPH on highway. If you take that number and multiply by the 1.2 conversion, and boom you've got a MPG of 21-22.2. Obviously, gas stations in the States sell in US gallons. So, my guess is that anyone quoting you MPG of 21+ either drives 45 MPH on the highway or is full of bologna.

Well, when my '16 6M/T was new(ish) and still had the stock tune/tires, I could reliably get 10.5L/100km on highway trips. That's a touch over 22 mpg (US gallons). I kept my speed between 100-105 km/hr (2100 - appox 2300rpm in 6th). Once you get closer to 110-120 km/hr though, mileage tanks. No bologna.

Hyper-miling on back roads at no more than 80 km/hr, I managed 8.2L/100km over approx. 70km. Again, all stock. Yes, I realize that's not real world driving.

Mine was at 17-18 but took a big hit around 1500 miles. Now I show about 15. Strange but that happened to be right when I put on 255/85 e rated tires. Winch and sliders are on order. I'll bet it takes another hit. I have a strange feeling that most people here have a similar experience. The longer you have your truck, the lower your gas mileage and lighter your wallet.

The MPG of these trucks (at least the V6 AT) is EXTREMELY dependent on how you drive. They seem to have an RPM sweet spot.

If I watch my acceleration, I can get 20-22mpg around town easy - even hitting almost every light red. If I just drive normally and don't pay attention, I'm usually around 17-18. Sometimes less.

OP, your engine is not broken in yet. I went through the same issue with my MT 18. Only when I reached 6K miles did my mileage start to significantly improve. I am now getting about 20, on average - and I expect that to improve a bit until I get to about 10K. Give it some time.

check you tire pressure. Everytime I went to the dealership for my free maintenance, they lower my tire pressure to 29. I didn't realize this until recently

MPG is part engine & transmission build and part driving style. As one ages, as least in my case, one “mellows” more and the driving style relaxes. I observe various drivers constantly abuse their vehicles and disregard MPG efficiency all the time. Example is when approaching a stop light seen in the distance as it turns red... I come off the gas and start coasting (at a reasonable speed) while some drivers race (keep driving at posted speed) to the red light, hit the brakes, come to a full stop, and then engage the gas to start moving again... while I just ease into the gas and return to speed without ever touching the brakes. I laugh my ass off watching those folks as they will be replacing brake pads before me and spend more $$ on fuel.

I drove extremely aggressively as a youngster back when gas was 0.59 cents p/gallon and HP was king... over it now, again has something to due with getting older

Using premium fuel and driving very carefully, I can get 22mpg on my 40 mile commute to work. If I use regular and put it on cruise, I get 17mpg.
