My truck had 1 mile on the odometer when I bought it and gas mileage has been consistent since day 1.

Live in Wash DC with a 2.5 mile commute. Average 16ish. Haven’t owned it long enough to see if it will do any better but so far getting same mileage as I was in my 2018 Raptor.

Screen dump from my Fuelly log. Note the figures are in Imperial units so multiply by .83 to get US MPG. Both my wife and I (we share the driving) would be considered easy going drivers, we coast up to stop lights and don't do John Force burnout starts but we both clip as fast as we can go legally on the freeways. We are not doddlers.

I think I can second this statement. When I first got my truck I experimented a bit just to try and get the best MPG numbers, which I thought could be achieved by just accelerating a bit slower. I was not impressed with the MPG so I just started accelerating a bit quicker around town and I think it actually helped.

It is probably because I don't hang out in the lower gears as long. Yeah, it burns a bit more fuel to get up to the desired speed quicker, but you also get into the MPG sweet spot a bit quicker too. Overall I think burning a tad more fuel to get up to cruising speed gives me a better overall MPG number in the long run.
