Don’t be a dick. You asked if there was anything to get better fuel mileage and that is the best way to get better fuel mileage, go back to stock. If you want to improve mileage with your current setup give people more information to go off of like the miles per tank and how many gallons you would fill it up with, current tire size 265/65r16 etc... you’re asking a general question without giving particular information needed to help get specific answers.

How tf was I being a dick? This is a Tacoma forum isn’t it? The question was simple, suggestions for better gas mileage on these trucks. I didn’t need to hear smart ass answers like
who said I was shocked, bozo?

how was I being a dick? Last time I checked this is a Tacoma forum so, yeah, it’s a pretty general question. We don’t have to go complicate a ham sandwich. I’m sure there are a million slap dicks on this forum that have been in my shoes and the question was directed at them. Thanks

OP, this is really a simple problem that has been made complex due to incomplete information.

The math for fuel mileage is very simple division. Nothing more. The trick is to compensate your miles driven for the increased tire size.

Otherwise, the best method to improve fuel mileage is to do simple things.
    Maintain Tire pressures
Engine maintenance, ie air filter, MAF, Throttle body, spark plugs, lubes, drivetrain, transmission, xfer case lubes.............and everything else.
    Remove any extra weight.
Light foot on the go peddle.
Anticipate stops to coast before stepping on the halt peddle.
Understand fuel mileage dies above 65 mph. (your tires impact the speed indicated on the speedometer)

Now, assuming you want more concise help, then the forum members need more information.
    Original tire size
Fuel mileage (based per gallon) on original tires
    New tire size
Fuel mileage (base per gallon) on new tires.
    Modifications to engine or truck.
    Added weight to the truck.

Miles per tank is at best a fuzzy number.

    Good luck.

Stock 5 lug wheels are 26 in diameter, u jumped almost 30% in diameter alone. I'd be happy with ur mpg, I expect mine to tank too when I go to 31s. And I'm not even going to the length of 33s. Did u want a truck or a Prius I'm lost?

Regear if u want it to go faster and get its "grunt" back, maybe 2 ish mpg better. Otherwise expect the expected

Sorry OP, these TW people can't seem to be able to answer simple questions and often go off on weird tangents.

Here is what you are looking for:
My daughter drives first-gen Taco. When I bought it it had big tires and other mods. For her safety, I had my mechanic put stock tires on it and he also had to put other stock parts back on it. Figuring the amount of $$ she was borrowing for gas before and after the "fix," I now have more money to spend on meth. Or, to be specific (these guys always need specifics), better quality, much clearer, meth. I hope that helps.

Welcome to TW! I hope you stick around.

Lol yeah I see that! Some of their brains are the size of my 4 banger. I’m happy to hear you have more money for meth though! That’s great!

That's not simple enough. You need a power point or TedTalk to explain your theory. Then you need to simplify and use flash cards.
