I get around 17.5 in my 2017 Sport MT, and got over 20.5 on the previous Gen3 auto I had. But I'll gladly give up 3mpg to never have to drive that p.o.s. auto again.

When I read that word "trigger," used in this context, to me it means someone gets hurt feelings, or enraged, or mad, or vindictive because they heard or read something of which they don't agree. That's what I meant.
It has turned into a slang word that has many meanings, none of which were part of the original definition.
If you pulled the "trigger" or that song "triggered" a memory, then it is within the definition. If someone gets "triggered" because they hear or read something they dislike, who really knows what it means. Mad? Sad? Angry? Vindictive? Incredulous?
I have heard it used in so many ways it makes no sense to me.
    My opinion and you asked.:)

It shouldn't (key word there is shouldn't) go down as an engine breaks in. If anything it should get better.

I consistently get 21mpg to 22mpg. This winter I have been very consistent in the 20's. I am at a 1/4 tank and according to my computer I have averaged 20.6mpg this tank. Yes, all my numbers are from the on board computer.

I was thinking just a little the other day that physics allow a certain volume of air into the engine, the computer sending message to injectors to squirt "X" amount of fuel into cylinders. At elevation, the air is thinner, so can only burn so much fuel, consequently I consistently get better mileage than it seems most posters get as I live and usually drive at 3800` or higher, mileage suffers though if pulling a long hill or a trend uphill. I did get poor mileage a couple years ago when I went camping over by the Kalifornia coast since i had to travel at much lower elevation, I think around 20 or so was all, here, I get 22 or better for shorts trips to town.

FWIW I went 235 miles on my last fill up. Filled with gas today and it took 19.5 gallons of 91 octane. Dash readout says 12.5 mpg. My driving consists of short drives to and from work 1 mile each way and an occasional trip to the store that is also 1 mile away. Only changes I have made to the truck are tires with 9 miles on the truck when changed to 265/75/16, SSO slimline with winch, rear bumper and sliders that add approx #300 and running the OV Tune... I have never seen over 17mpg since new.

19mpg tank average in winter 21 mpg tank average summer. With the lower gearing...anything over 65 begins to really hurt. At 55 to 60, I can get 23mpg tank average.

I’m averaging 20+ in my 6MT (well except right now on trash winter fuel I’m around 18-19). Fuelly data in my signature.

Mostly Stock 2017 DCSB TRD OR. Been running OVT1.03 since about December. Hard to say yet what that’s done to mpg as they also switched over to winter blend fuels. I am averaging better than my 2016 auto did, even though I shouldn’t according to the epa ratings.

Insane. The stock auto I had averaged 17.6 at probably 35/65 - city/hwy. I only ever hit 21+ a few times that were almost exclusively highway Hated that thing.

I've only had a few tanks so far, but looking at 15-16. Just added some sliders so it's s bit early to see how that will change things if any. Pretty sure it's the hills that are killing me

I get 20+ MPG in the flats @ 70MPH consistently (2017 DCSB OR MT with 265/75 BFG's)... 22-23 if I drop it to 60-65. Add hills into the mix or any aggressive pedal play and that number drops off sharply.

It's an old wives tale that mileage will increase as the miles accumulate...

Some people seem to have lucky numbers. I travel a lot and recorded my info at the pump. About a 40 mile commute. 5 city, the rest is highway or 2 lane.

55mph gets me 21-22. If I'm cruising a single lane backroad at 40 in 5th i can see 22. That's the best case for mpg, hands down no questions asked.

Anything 60-65 and I start dancing between 18-20. (17-19 duratracs now).

70mph and it's 18. Sometimes I'll see 17, but it's more driving style or weather conditions.

Normally I average 18.5-19.2 combined with c load duratracs and a bed rack these days. And that's with a good hole shot daily out of the toll booth ;)

    With 4.56's and 35's at 75mph I usually get between 12-13mpg. RPM's usually around 3k. Wishing I had the new 4.30's.

‘17 off-road, and I get a little over 18. My driving is usually commuting to work, half street and half highway at 60mph

I’ve used The Fuelly app since the day I got my truck. My average since I’ve had this thing is 18.3 MPG.
A few weeks ago, I took a trip that was about 350 miles of interstate. I drove most of it between 75-80 MPH and averaged right around 15.9 MPG. That was with the RTT (on a mid height rack) because we were going to go camping the next day.

For what it’s worth, I don’t care if I get low mileage. I just track it for shits and giggles. If I really cared about MPG, I wouldn’t have lifted, added bigger tires, added weight, etc.

I'd say I'm consistant. And I've got a +3.4% tire so it's close to what my tank says of just short of 20.
