Newbie on this site just got a 2014 DCLB TRD as a replacement to my 96 SR5 looking to boost a little on MPGs averaging just over 19 now which is decent but would really like to hit over 20 was looking at AFE stageII CAI? Also does having a tonneau cover help out that much to raise MPG...any help appreciated

I have a bed cover. Didn't help mpgs at all. From what I've read on here, there's nothing that will boost your mpgs. At least nothing that makes it worthwhile enough to shell out any money.

That's true. I run a warm air intake for better gas mileage on my 2.7 even though it reduces power.

And to more than compensate for the loss, I did intake manifold and exhaust header mods, and currently average 23.4 mpg even with a fully loaded truck, and no freeway driving.

It looks good :) and it sounds like it's having a positive effect.

Thanks Mikey. :) I'm totally pleased with how my truck runs. This is what a 36 inch long intake literally sounds like... ;)
