Lowest on a tank for me is 16.9. All city driving, mostly short trips.
    V6/Auto 4X4 - all stock.

I’ve got a manual and I see 20 mpg at best when at 70-75 mph with RPM around 2200. Just rented a ‘23 sport auto in Denver and I’m getting 24 mpg with flat driving up to Ft. Collins. RPMs at these speeds are easily 200-300 less. Wish I had the same size 6th gear in mine.

Are the roads hilly? I suffer from some pretty terrible mileage (15ish over the last few tanks) but I've always chalked it up to a hilly daily commute

I'm able to get mine all the way down to 12 during winter weeks where all I do is the .5 mile to and from school dropoff drives. Not what I imagined when I thought "I'mma buy this truck and really beat on it", but it turns out those weeks are probably about the worst wear and tear.

Dont trust the computer, track your mileage and gas usage and see if that matches. My truck reads 11.1mpg almost all the time now, but on the highway im getting 15mpg (3" lift, 35s, fully armored with roof rack and gear in the back) per my consumption.

    All good suggestions above.

I would also check your "Fuel Trims" by plugging a scan tool into the OBD-II port. I will continue to reiterate on this forum that every Taco owner should have a decent handheld scan tool that can be had for $150.

If you don't have one, your local auto parts store will be happy to read them for you in the parking lot as a courtesy. Your Short Term and Long Term fuel trims, on each bank, should be +/-5% or less.

Anything more than +5% fuel being trimmed (added), then something is wonky. Dirty MAF. Small vacuum leak.
    ---------------

Also, calculate your fuel mileage the old school way as already described above. Miles driven from last fill up divided by number of gallons it took to refuel.

Stock truck off road premium packages short trip in city. Average 14mpg as well on computer. Every fill up I reset the radio gas average. My bars on radio are all showing 14-16 mpg. I also reset the trip A and B. That helps me track the miles I get on every fill up. As for the gauge cluster screen I have adjusted one of the menu screens to see my tank average and trip average. Trip seem to be higher most the time but the stop and go and short trip kills my mpg. Maybe u should do one too to see your average trip mpg u are getting. I can get it up to 21 on some road trip but that rarely

3" lift, 33's, unarmored, only extra weight is a toolbox in the bed, and I average 16-16.5 MPG on a tank with a predominant city street bias since I work from home. I will get ~20+ MPG on the occasional long freeway trip.

I have been doing this the past four fill ups, and haven't found the dash calculation to be more than 0.2 off of actual calculations.

To OP, without knowing the driving conditions, we just have to assume that it is all stop and go with a heavy foot.
