The only state that currently has any type of law against driving barefoot is Alabama, but the Alabama law only pertains to motorcycles. If you ride a motorcycle in Alabama, you must do so while wearing enclosed shoes or other footwear.

That's a new one on me, not only is it legal, I can't see how a low speed rear ending would possibly put a brake pedal through your foot, ain't gonna happen. More than likely this is a troll spouting idiocy.

Best MPG mod I did. Fuel economy went up to 28mpg avg, in early December...boost weather!
That was with 265/75-16 Hankook DynaPro ATM tires, and mostly highway driving with some city driving as well.

I've since killed my MPG's with a nice heavy set of Maxxis Buckshot II MT's. It's dropped to about 22mpg hwy, but still well worth it to me!
    MVIMG_20190613_190025.jpg

In the end, it's about enjoying the truck. I never really worry about MPG's too much, unless I blow through a tank unreasonably fast...but that's usually because I keep spooling up my Mongolian motor mangler when I don't need to lol.

Morn gents! Looking for recommendations on improving MPG and overall performance in 16 Taco TRD. What do you suggest as far a changing filters, etc? Thought I would ask instead of scrolling through 66 pages of conversations.

    Thanks!

Complimented a guy on his Tacoma today and he followed it with why he's selling it, and how the gas mileage on his Tacoma is worse then both of his 1-ton trucks he uses on his ranch. SMH

That will get you a lot of repeating of some bad information, including replace your air filter once a year when it has been proven to not matter, along with replace your fuel filter, gas up in the morning, use fuel additives, use seafoam, eventually you get to magnets, and H2O with that search.........

I'm sure that climb back to elevation killed it.

With great success on other forums I would like to create a local classifieds section. This allows for better search of more local parts.

    Rules:
-Post only from states divided into this section by the governing forum.
-In the title of the post state location
    -Indicate Buy/Sell/Trade
    - Applicable to all products involving this forum. Other deals for obscure items may be allowed. Do not make this look like craigslist.
-Indicate if will to meet within a certain mile radius.

Enjoy. Hope this works out for all that use this thread.

We're posting about MPG. Not selling stuff.
Currently getting 15MPG, winter blend gas and modest use of the 4WD switch.

Woops - just realized I'm in the 4 cyl forum.... below is for my 4.0

Been getting 21-22 mpg since I bought the truck a few weeks ago. Pretty happy about that for winter temps - usually see a 10% raise in summer in most vehicles. 265/70/16 Grabber HTX's @ 32 psi cold.

90% of my driving is from 6,000 to 11,000+ feet and back for snow based social isolation purposes. The other 10% is hoarding TP.
