Ah ok. Not sure if resetting the Transmission Learning works (haven't tried it), but here's the thread on that.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/reset-my-engine-transmission-learning.422915/

My 2017 OR has 6K miles and gets about 17.5 in the city and 20 on the highway. I added lots of weight though (bumper grill, shackles in front, as well as hitch shackle), so I lost some MPG latey. But it's a truck, so I don't mind not peeling out of stop lights. But once it does get a good speed, I feather the throttle a lot (kind of like NASCAR drivers at Sonoma when they are saving fuel). I constantly have the Eco App running, as well as the Average MPG display in the dash.

I don't have any window vent shades, but supposedly they help with mileage.

Just got 27mpg on my way down from work today, 45 mile trip, saw 19.7 on my way up this morning. Winter gas, stock MT other than a Leer 180 topper.

Not even at stock was I getting that. At stock my best was 18.5MPG, and that was keeping t under 2500RPM. Now I have a small 1” lift, E rated tires, and I removed my air dam (damn ugly thing) and my best is 15.8MPG.

18.2 mpg at 75 + on the turnpike WITHOUT cruise control. 19.7 rural areas. The dealer raised the tp to 38 at the first service. I am at 35 psi now.

Im not quite sure how you calculated mpg after owning the truck for three days, but I doubt you have traveled enough miles to get a statsically significant value for mpg. Be patient and calculate your millage after you go through a couple tanks of gas too see what you are really getting.

I have an accord for my daily 50 mile commute, if you wanted 19-24 mpg, you shouldn't have gotten a truck! I get about 16-17 mpg on average on the freeway and that's with an OVTune.

Let's all be honest here, all of us know that the Taco isn't going to ge anywhere near 24 mpg on average! There isn't a magic upgrade or mod that will get you that.

So quick update just filled up after dinner at sheets 89 oct. And my mpg went up to as high as 24.6 mpg on the same road I was getting 18 mpg max this morning. Looks like the gas the dealer gave me was regular and giving me a low mpg? Filled the tire pressure up also, pressure on the highway was 37-38ish on stock tires. I was getting 24.6 before topping off the tp.

Yeah 30 is stock recommendation. I am running 34 cold right now and getting 18.6 around town on my off road. I plan to run 37-38 psi when it warms up here. Hoping to get closer to 20 mpg combined on summer gas in warm weather. My lifetime average on the Tundra 5.7L was 14.3 mpg doing same type of driving.

No. Sorry. Octane means nothing as far as efficiency. It is for engine knock. The amount of energy in a gallon of 89 is the same as a gallon of 87 is the same as a gallon of 93 octane.
It's not gonna add 7 mpg lol. That would be magic.

I have a manual and drive like a granny. However I have about 450lbs of crap in the bed (cap, drawer system)
I noticed with stock alloys and winter tires I was getting about 10% better economy. In other words... 8-10lbs more per tire had an effect.
Although when summer fuel comes out... it may balance out.
Go 55 MPH and listen to Bill Burr podcasts!

Topper or tonneau cover will give you at least +2 MPG

    Looked

From the 1 1/2 drive from the dealership and Thursday and Friday drive to and from work hitting a max 18 mpg to this with just filling up with new gas? How can this be explained? Sorry I didn’t take a pic of the ride home last night when I filled up,when it hit 24 mpg.

During the winter months gas company’s put additives for the gas to prevent water building up and freezing which causes worse gas mileage in the winter

    Two kids.
Sad but true. The little turbo in my wife's new Civic gets 32-33 MPG in the city and mid to upper 40s on the highway. I got 51 MPG on a trip to the beach once where the highways only had a 55 speed limit.
