I drive the truck like an absolute grandpa and I managed an average of 13.8 L/100 17mpg.
This is lifted 295's mild build intermittent towing and trail days. This was calculated with a scan gauge 3 accommodating for the tire tire size. I would manually calculate it once in awhile and it was always within .3 per tank.
When I had my 265's I was easily getting closer to 11L/100 or 21mpg again driving it for economy high wind and speed destroy economy of these trucks in can rarely do over 100 if I want to keep my numbers a little pleasant.

I have 265/75/16 E rated Cooper tires. Mt truck has only 4,700 miles on it and the mileage has progressively gotten better. Currently on a long, generally level highway run I can get 20 mpg. On a full tank of mixed driving I average anywhere from 17 to 18.5 mpg.

Just a couple weeks ago I did a run up and over the Santa Cruz mountains then up north. This run included a return trip home up and over the Santa Cruz mountains again and I was surprised to have averaged 18.5 mpg.

When I first got my truck, it was a new 23' off road long bed, I struggled to get 16 mpg.

Are you running the standard load option?

I get about 16 mpg on my LT255/85r16 e-load mud-terrains and about 18 mpg on my P265/70r16 all-terrains during mixed driving.

Don’t forget that tire type (summer, all-season, all-terrain, mud-terrain, etc.) also matters.

I get about 16 mpg with SL rated 265/75/16 tires. I only drive 80+ mph so this likely impacts fuel economy.
